Air Permitting and VOC RACT Rules Workshop |
| Description: |
DES Air Resources Division will host a workshop on the revised air permitting regulations, Env-A 600, Statewide Permit System and Env-A 1200, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT). DES regulates air emissions from a variety of sources within New Hampshire through a statewide permitting program. The rules outline the permitting process and list sources that require permits for air emissions, either by overall source, specific device, or by pollutant. DES also regulates VOCs by incorporating recommendations contained in the USEPA Control Techniques Guidelines (CTGs) in order to reduce ozone in non-attainment areas. The CTGs provide recommended control options for various categories of sources of VOCs based RACT. |
